Our electricians recently installed a particular light for a Vet clinic in New Britain, Bucks County.  They hired us to install a specific light fixture that is used when conducting surgeries on our furry little friends. Proper lighting in these situations are very important.

Pendants as a source of Task Lighting

Task lighting is generally a small and sometimes portable light source. it is designed to illuminate a specific area as opposed to an entire room.

Using pendants in you work area instead of overhead lighting makes the area more functional. Another added bonus to task lighting is that it reduces eye strain, by providing less glare and fewer shadows.

Our licensed electricians recently installed these pendants lights for one of our customers in Lansdale. They now help to illuminate a counter top that otherwise did not get much light.

• Portable lighting: Portable lamps can be used as your main light source when working on a detailed task at a desk.
• Overhead lighting: Chandeliers, pendants and/or ceiling fan lights provide lighting as more of a secondary source, but do come in handy during darker times of the day and at night.
• Ambient lighting: If you have bookcases or artwork, ambient lighting helps to create a nice, cozy feeling in your work space.

Our electricians recently completed work in a kitchen for one of our customers in Harleysville using these very guidelines. As you can see, their kitchen is now properly lit to help make the space more task friendly and efficient.

Every year Bucks Mont NARI hosts the Contractor of the Year Awards ceremony. Its a way to honor the best in the industry for Bucks and Montgomery counties. This year’s CotY awards boasted of 40 entries. Everyone gathered at the Joseph Ambler Inn last Friday, January 27th for the unveiling of this year’s winners.

We are proud to say that we were a recipient of a CotY award this year. In conjunction with Lifestyles Design, Innovative Kitchen & Bath, and Village Handcrafted Cabinetry we took home the CotY for Residential Bath over $60,000.  It was a great pelasure working together and achieving such an astouding result.

Our licensed electricians recently performed some electrical work in Chalfont. One of our customers recently had us help them with a lighting design plan for their living room. Our electricians installed a variety of fixtures in the room.

Wall sconses were installed for task lighting, recessed lighting for all purpose and/or general lighting, and accent lighting by the fireplace to show off its detail.

There’s no place like home for the holidays!

Which is why we want you to be safe this holiday season. To make sure your holiday is memorable for all the right reasons, follow these simple steps:

• Make certain that your home has enough smoke detectors/alarms.
• Carefully check each electrical decoration prior to use.
• Don’t overload your receptacles. They can overheat and cause a fire.
• Never leave the kitchen when something is cooking.

When decorating for the holidays here are a few things to keep in mind:

• Prior to decorating, determine how many outlets you have available and where each one is located. This way you can plan your displays accordingly.
• Avoid overloading your outlets with too many decorations. Your decorations could overheat and cause a fire.
• Do not connect more than three strands of incandescent lights together.
• Consider purchasing LED lights, they ten to run cooler than incandescents.
• Do not replace any bulbs or fuses, without first unplugging the decoration.
